Cal Poly Television is the student-run television station at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
The students work as long and hard as our school’s name is to pronounce to produce a 30-minute live broadcast every Friday afternoon throughout the school year.
Viewers only see the end product of the manic trials, accomplishments and some hair-pulling situation
CPTV students face throughout the week.
CPTV: Inside the Studio is your personal invitation through the keypad-locked door of studio 300.
While CPTV is essentially a class that broadcast students are required to take for two quarters, many students make CPTV a part of their lives in college.

My name is Joseph Corral and I am a journalism senior at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. I am a broadcast concentration and have been involved in Cal Poly Television ever since I transferred to the school two years ago.
I have a passion for broadcast television and along with being involved in CPTV, I have been interning at the Central Coast NBC-affiliate station KSBY since June 2012.
I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by others who share the same love for broadcast television and enjoy posting my peers off-camera moments as well as mine on social media.
When I had the chance to build a website in one of my journalism classes, CPTV: Inside the Studio only came naturally. |
