Working for the Mouse

The Visuals

If you are planning a trip to Disneyland, you might want to look into what rides and attractions will be open when you get there. Disneyland is taking advantage of their "slow" time of the year and updating many of their popular rides and attractions. Rides such as Splash Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and even the Sleeping Beauty Castle are all under construction this winter. A lot of rides are being updated and some are being transformed in preparation for Disneyland's 60th anniversary in July 2015.

The iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle is covered and under construction in preparation for Disneyland's 60th anniversary in July. The castle is one of the most visited and photographed landmarks in the park, and is a big surprise to guests who haven't researched attraction closures. The Disneyland Railroad that normally transports guests around the park is closed for an update. The land that holds the popular Splash Mountain ride 'Critter Country' is completely closed for an update. Critter Country is expected to open at the beginning of April 2015. Iconic Matterhorn mountain undergoes construction during the slow time of the year for Disneyland. It has not yet been release what the end result will be, but guests can definitely expect an update to this rollercoaster-like ride. The Grizzley River Run tubing adventure attraction in California Adventure Disney's California Adventure undergoes heavy construction to prepare for the Disneyland's 60th anniversary. The famous World of Color show that normally ignites the night in the park is getting an update and is schedueld to open this summer.
