The impact of this production is seen worldwide, and is an integral aspect of V-Day, a global activist movement whose aim is to end violence against women and girls, by raising funds and awareness through benefit productions of The Vagina Monologues and other artistic works. Since 2013, the V-Day Movement has raised over $85 million and has educated millions about the issue of violence against women. Cal Poly alone raised $16,800 in 2013. Each year, we hope to increase our efforts with our productions and to continue to show Cal Poly and San Luis Obispo’s commitment to empowering women and taking a stand for justice across the globe.
