The Vagina Monologues is an award-winning play written by author and activist, Eve Ensler, who conducted countless interviews with

women about their experiences and feelings regarding sexuality, empowerment, and life as a woman. Through humorous as well as

serious monologues, the performance dives into the mystery, humor, pain, wisdom, outrage, and excitement buried in women’s

experiences. The 2014 production benefitted V-Day’s spotlight campaign, Campus Rising, which focuses on sexual assault on college

campuses. The Gender Equity Center at Cal Poly held its 11th annual production of The Vagina Monologues in 2014.
