The first step to making changes to the political landscape is to vote. The major presidential election is in November, but there are many other opportunities to cast your vote on issues, whether they be local or statewide or nationwide. No matter where you live in SLO, there's bound to be a polling place near you.

So now you want to get involved, but you don't think you can because you don't even know where to begin, or don't think that SLO is necessarily the place to start. However, there are events and movements and changes happening right here on campus. Below, you will hear from a Cal Poly Political Science student, a political editorialist for the Mustang Daily, a Journalism student, and the actual protestors camping out at Occupy SLO (located right outside the SLO courthouse across from the Fremont movie theater). Now is the time to get involved, and SLO is full of opportunities to do so.
