You can tell the photographer connected with the assignment on a deeper level. Great visual variety overall. To strengthen: Consider tightening the edit of the story down a few images to help reduce redundancy of images within the photo story.
Competition Comment: Overall the top tier of submissions were excellent and had a great variety in range and perspectives of compositions and in dynamic moments, with compelling light.
Do not be afraid of getting in closer to your subjects. Show the emotion and mood that is conveyed in the event. Find the light and magnify the perspectives to help with a strong impact.
All the story concepts and ideas were strong overall. Most of the submissions needed work in strengthening visual variety, and reducing amount of imagery to increase impact on the audience. Look for peak actions, and meaningful moments. And again, don't be afraid to move in closer physically and technically.
